Fiber optic sensors have become a critical technology enabler behind the latest functional MRI (magnetic
resonance imaging) suite upgrades and new MRI equipment designs. In this presentation, three MRI-based and one nanomagnetic motion control application will be used to demonstrate the benefits, operation and applications of recently developed fiber optic position and signaling sensors.
