No IT admins want the security problem of engineers' PCs entering their network, and no engineers want the process and QA risk of the office's PCs on their Operational Technology (OT) network. But why? Aren't they both hyper-diligent about the data integrity of their networks? Both disciplines manage security, change management, and their data types differently, and the expertise of one is in direct conflict with the expertise of the other. In this session, attendees will learn how to:

• Exchange data between PLCs and database servers within minutes versus months.
• Secure networks for data exchange with an MES gateway appliance versus industrial PCs.
• Improve network infrastructure with point-to-point, event-based communication vs. polling OPC solutions.
