Wearable device emergence in healthcare is becoming keystone in patient care and monitoring, allowing healthcare providers to monitor the vitals of consumers and patients continuously. As telemedicine pushes itself into the forefront of remote care, the need for new and effective diagnostic devices to expand the capabilities of the remote physician become apparent; especially in the context of prolonged field care and military medicine. This presentation draws upon the combined advent of novel wearables, sensors, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality’s newfound roles in the continuous monitoring of remote patients throughout the care continuum from an entrepreneur’s perspective.
